We hope you’re keeping well in these unusual times. Now that countries are beginning to review their lockdown restrictions, we wanted to give you an update on what’s been happening at MTM, and what we’re doing to support you and your business as we prepare for life after lockdown.
As the way we work has changed, we’ve seen some positive trends emerge. Services that can be offered online or remotely have weathered the storm, as more customers and professionals adapt to working from home.
Due to people spending more time at home, requests for external home improvements and gardening have also remained stable and are now growing as some countries start to revise their lockdown restrictions. Requests for personal training have also seen a big uplift since lockdown started, making it one of several categories to make the move to working remotely.
Starting to improve
A lot of event-related professionals like massage therapists, acupuncturists, music therapists, and photographers have been negatively affected. Requests for these as well as health-related services are now showing signs of growth, as customers start to plan for the future.
Due to the restrictions that are currently in place, a number of industries remain severely affected. Categories like massage therapy, airport transfers, the beauty industries as well as pet sitting, kennels and many more are yet to recover. If you’re in one or more of these categories, please know that we will be here, ready and waiting to help you when the market returns.
We launched our website back in March, and it has helped many of our MTM professionals. You can find advice on managing your business online, tools that can help you connect with customers remotely and links to financial resources available in your area.
This service is for all businesses, not just those on MTM, so please share with anyone you think would benefit. Click here to check it out.
Staying safe at work
As more in-person services are starting to return to work in most countries, it’s important to stay safe. The guidance varies in the five counties we work in, so we strongly encourage you to check in with your authorities and to follow the advice in your locality.
